Kids are eager to get in the kitchen for one big reason: FOOD! But there is a lot more that they can gain from cooking. Let’s talk about that!

Cooking promotes creativity and wonder, strengthens hand eye coordination, and promotes the importance of togetherness because it is a great activity to do with others.

Cooking builds self-confidence, teaches sequencing and turn-taking, improves executive functioning skills, and it promotes healthier eating by introducing new tastes, smells, and textures.

In our classes, we regularly witness kids trying more new foods when they make them than if they are just served to them. Our kid chefs are proud of their work and they are a part of the process each step of the way.

Fostering independence in children in the kitchen takes time and effort, but our hope is that, through our classes, recipes, and direction, you find the process to be filled with a bit more joy and delight.

  • Lauren & Sally are so kind and helpful! I learned new skills to help my son thrive in a class environment and in the kitchen. He loves to cook and bake, so he adored the class! He's already asking to go back.

  • Loved the independence the kids could have while cooking!

  • I would totally do this again because I'm not great in the kitchen and love that it is a "learn by doing" type of class. I know it was a lot of work from start to finish but so appreciate you extending your teaching to us grown ups in search of attaining new skills and building our kitchen "toolkit" so to speak.

  • The best part about the class? The excitement and how proud my son felt after taking the class. He was glowing and gave it two thumbs up and wanted to do it again!

  • My daughter loved your cooking class! She usually is picky with her vegetables, and now, since your class, she says she loves lettuce and eats it all the time with no fuss! She asks all the time to go back.
